“Twisted Twins” is a multifunctional sculptural element carved from the lilac-toned veined marble the city is so well known for-the same marble used to construct the Monastery of Jerónimos and Tower of Belém.
These Lioz Abancado stones, excavated from Carrasqueira Quarry, have been machined into opposite facing, mirrored blocks, connected at the center by a smooth, contorted bridge. Designed for the city of Lisbon, the piece will be shared by skateboarders and non-skateboarders alike.
